Adding lower thirds to the ATEM mixer is simple.
- Have your PC/Laptop plugged into one of the video input channels (usually channel 5).
- In the ATEM software, go to the Palettes tab and select Downstream Keys.
- In Key 1, set both Fill Source and Key Source to PC (or the channel you are playing the lower thirds into).
- On the ATEM mixer, select the camera you wish to use.
- On the mixer, turn DSK1 to ON.
- On the PC, use the arrow keys to move through your lower thirds.
To make the lower thirds solid and not partially transparent:
- In the Palettes menu, turn off Pre Multiplied Key and adjust the Clip and Gain.
Clip (20%) and Gain (80%) should be OK but you may need to experiment.
